About Producer | Founded in 1998, the people behind the Winery of Good put high quality, great value and respect for their environment at the core of their business and wines. The fruit is sourced from the Helderberg area in Stellenbosch, Elgin, and the Perderberg area in the Swartland before the wines are produced in its mountainside cellar. While the vineyards are not certified organic, the company farms as environmentally as possible, including using birds of prey rather than poison to prevent rodents from damaging the vines while a programme has replaced fertiliser. The wine making process is non-interventionist, allowing spontaneous ferments with native yeast, and reducing the need for sulphur. These are quality wines with a conscious. |
