|If you’re after quality claret without breaking the bank, you can't go wrong with a Cru Bourgeois. This mature blend of classic Bordeaux grapes spent a year in barels leading to a full-bodied and elegant style. Expect blackcurrant flavours with hints of of spice and tobacco. Its tannins have been mellowed with bottle age, making it an excellent match with red meats and game. It was awarded an impressive 92 points by Decanter magazine.

|Chateau Fontesteau is a charming vineyard, producing consistently pleasing claret wines vintage after vintage. The latest 2012 is drinking nicely now and has the structural capacity to see it maturing for many years to come. The 30 hectares of vineyards at Chateau Fontesteau are grown on a chalk based soil with gravel. The winemaker uses a combination of the most traditional methods whilst still embracing modern technology to get the best from the wine.
